The weekend is upon us. Because I do try to tackle many things at once, I post on this blog from Monday to Friday every week. The readership has become quite extensive and I am very honored to have so many readers on this blog. I want to end the week by giving something back to you, the Metaphysics and Health community.
Every Friday, I would like to add a post with something beautiful that I find on the web for you to enjoy as you look forward to the weekend. I call these posts the friday escape. It could be music, art, or a good read…but I want it to be something uplifting that pleases the senses and goes to the heart. Something that takes you away from your here and now, and allows the spirit to travel. Being a multi cultural blog, hopefully these friday escapes will accumulate into quite a diverse collection. Save them and make a collection of inspiring beauty on your desktop.
Todays friday escape is a beautiful video. It features the enchanting music and voice of Loreena McKennitt. Loreena McKennitt is an artist who combines music from the byzantine, eastern and celtic traditions. Her voice and melodies are hauntingly beautiful. The scenery is relaxing and the video is enhanced by the most beautiful and uplifting quotes from the poet Rumi. Rumi was a 13th century Persian poet, musician, mystic and specialist in Islamic law. His works are truly universal and he is one of the worlds greatest poets.
The Rumi quotes echo what is being felt today ( most appropriate after the latest posts, its like a meme that is reaching us through time and space!) and the video is truly a journey for the spirit.
