Because I have such a hectic and full schedule, I usually do not have time on weekends to post.  This weekend is an exception.  Luckily so, because I came across two very important health threats.  One threat to our emotional health, and the next post refers to a threat to our physical well being.

I visited a very important site this weekend.  It is called BullyingUK.  This site is a beacon of light shining on a horrible problem that is plaguing society.

A few posts ago, I was mentioning different instances of toxic behavior. Bullyism is a prime example.  Bullies are people who are usually suffering  from neglect, low self esteem, and a variety of other issues.  Many bullies engage in this type of behavior out of fear and extreme peer pressure.  Granted, these individuals do need help.

Nevertheless, it is unspeakable for us as a society to allow bullies to terrorize and victimize innocent people, especially those who are weak, or handicapped, or defenseless. Children should not be exposed to bullyism as a norm, as something out there that they have to deal with.  That is just creating the foundation for a sicker society.

We, as members of communities worldwide, have to make sure that bullyism is eradicated.  We must give our children a solid society which does not stand for anyone attempting to discriminate, terrorize or victimize another person, let alone a child or someone who is handicapped.

By not speaking up or trying to correct this situation, we are actually rewarding this type of toxic behavior among the young children world wide.  All children have a right to go to school without fear for their safety and welfare.  No child should feel afraid and victimized.
